1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the MayhemLab public website and the MayhemLab Windows desktop preview distributed from this site.
2. Data handled by the desktop client
MayhemLab may read information made available by the League of Legends client, local game interfaces, supported Riot services, and game-related static data in order to provide personal match history, performance analysis, live status, champion context, records, and other product features.
Personal match-history data is stored locally on the user's computer by default. This can include settings, imported match history, personal performance statistics, Riot IDs that appear in matches the user participated in, session summaries, and locally generated analysis.
3. Data not centrally collected by the current preview
MayhemLab currently does not operate a centralized MayhemLab account database for desktop users. The preview is not designed to automatically upload complete local match archives to an HQ account database. However, if the user connects HQ and enables relevant features, selected progress events and match-derived summaries can leave their computer. When a user links Discord and enables community-sharing settings, selected achievements, match-derived records, class mastery and competition result fields can be submitted to MayhemLab HQ for community posts and leaderboards.
MayhemLab does not ask users to provide Riot account passwords. Riot credentials should only be entered into official Riot experiences.
4. Website data
The MayhemLab website is a static product site and does not intentionally set MayhemLab advertising cookies or behavioral analytics cookies. The hosting provider may process standard web request information such as IP address, browser information, request time, and requested URL as part of ordinary hosting and security logs. Our hosting and security providers may process request metadata and security logs under their applicable privacy terms. This static website does not provide account login, accept Riot credentials, or display live League account data.
5. Riot API and future production service
Features requiring Riot Production API access will only be enabled following the applicable approval. Production credentials will be protected and will not be included in downloadable applications.
When HQ community features are enabled, MayhemLab processes Discord identifiers, hashed client authentication tokens, selected competition submissions and event delivery history to operate those features. A short-lived Discord pairing code connects a desktop session to a Discord account. Future MayhemLab accounts, Riot Sign On, and expanded online services will require an updated policy before launch.
6. Discord and community competition
Joining and linking Discord is optional for personal analytics. When a user pairs with MayhemLab HQ, the service may store their Discord account identifier, hashed client authentication tokens, selected achievement and competition submissions, event delivery history, and recognition records. The selected categories can include trophies, class mastery, records, match recaps, and weekly or monthly rankings.
Opted-in events may be posted to Discord channels where other server members can see them. Staff broadcasts and League news are separate from personal analytics. Public posts can remain on Discord until deleted by moderators or according to Discord's retention and account settings. MayhemLab uses authentication, access controls and request limits to protect HQ endpoints. No online service is guaranteed to be free of security risk. Discord is a third-party service subject to its own privacy practices.
7. Community visibility and retention
Discord participation is optional. Selected data, including achievements, usernames/Discord identities, timestamps, class mastery and personal competition results, may be visible to other Discord members when shared. HQ may retain records while the community feature operates and may maintain recovery backups. Exact retention periods are not currently guaranteed. Community results are submitted by clients and are not independently verified by Riot Games.
8. Third-party content and services
MayhemLab may link to or display external reference services, including MetaSRC. Those services operate independently and may collect information according to their own policies. MayhemLab does not control their privacy practices.
9. Data controls
Because the current preview is local-first, users can remove local information using in-app data controls or uninstall/removal procedures. Users can unlink Discord and disable sharing; doing so does not automatically delete earlier Discord posts or records already retained by MayhemLab HQ. For community data access, correction or deletion requests, contact the MayhemLab HQ moderators through the linked Discord community and identify the relevant Discord account and information. Some records may persist in independently operated Discord channels or backups until separately deleted or expired. Disconnecting does not retract prior posts.
10. Security
MayhemLab uses encrypted connections, authentication, and access controls for connected community services. Sensitive production API credentials are not included in downloadable application files. This does not make results Riot-verified or eliminate all risk.
11. Children
MayhemLab is not specifically directed to children under 13. Users should follow the age requirements that apply to Riot Games, Discord, and other third-party services they choose to use.
12. Changes
This policy may change as MayhemLab adds features or as legal, platform, or Riot Developer requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published.
13. Contact
For privacy questions or product support, contact MayhemLab through MayhemLab HQ on Discord.
